The Brief
Restaurants and bars in Lagos are chosen on a phone long before anyone books a table. People scroll, stop for a second, and decide whether a place looks worth the trip. Each of these 24 venues needed short vertical films that win that second, without looking like every other food page on the feed.
The Idea
Find the one thing each place does that nobody else does, and build the reel around it. A kebab hanging over its rice, a menu that wipes to the next dish, a burger with a plantain bun, a pasta night on red gingham. Same city, same format, no two venues shot the same way.
How We Made It
Everything is shot vertical, for the phone first. We spend the shoot on texture: sauce landing on a plate, icing sugar falling, smoke lifting off a glass, flame behind a burger. Drinks are built step by step on the bar, food is plated in front of the lens, and rooms are walked through rather than just shown. People come into frame when they are the point, at an event night, a pasta evening or a chef selling her own menu. The edits are short and music-led, and each venue keeps its own colour, from Encanto's oranges to W Bar's black.
