The Brief

Every group trip ends the same way, with someone in the chat begging for the photos. Fondays fixes that with one shared album that every phone shoots into, a Dark Room that keeps the pictures hidden until midnight, and a printed book at the end. That is three new habits to explain to people who have never heard of the app, right as it arrives in the app stores.

The Idea

We told it as one weekend, from the chase to the book in your hands. The film opens on that group chat, the same plea for pictures in language after language, and strikes each one out. After that every feature gets one short line, spoken and set on screen together: everyone shoots, nobody scrolls, then the dark room opens.

How We Made It

There are two films and a vertical cut. The promo is 3D: copper-orange phones swing through soft coral light with the real app screens on them, and the whole frame goes black when the Dark Room switches on. The longer app film floats the screens over a drifting wall of trip photos, with a camera-check countdown running down to midnight and polaroids spilling out as the roll develops, then a printed Goa Trip keepsake to finish. A voice-over carries both films, and every spoken line lands with its words on screen. The vertical cut is laid out again for the phone, with the type stacked above and below the device instead of beside it.
