The Brief
Billions Kitchen has a face: Chef Billion. Coming into the festive season she was taking orders for Christmas packages and combos, and people order food like that from someone they feel they know.
The Idea
We put the chef in front of the food. Two reels show her hands and her reactions as the pies and trays come together, and the third hands her the camera to make the offer herself.
How We Made It
Under the gold Billions Kitchen sign we filmed the meat pies from dough to oven: rolled out, filled, folded, glazed and broken open hot, then the first bite with her eyes shut. The catering reel moves across full trays of peppered chicken, rice, pasta salad and pies before she tastes one straight to camera. In the third reel she stands behind the spread and talks through the festive offer, with quick cuts to the food between her lines. Her apron reads Chef Billion in nearly every shot, so the brand and the person stay the same thing.
