The Brief
Nest Lagos had two very different stories to tell: a Love, Jazz & Cocktails night with live music, and the women who run the restaurant, for International Women's Day. One needed atmosphere; the other needed people speaking for themselves.
The Idea
We matched the film to the story. The jazz night is a quick, warm montage of the room; the Women's Day film slows right down and lets three women from the team answer in their own words.
How We Made It
At the event we worked the room: the lit sign, the welcome board, a singer at the mic and a guitar close-up, guests at red tables reading the menu. The Women's Day piece is built on sit-down interviews with clip-on mics, introducing Adeola Timothy, General Manager, Amina Adamu, Guest Experience Executive, and Chef Favour. Each question appears on screen over a blurred frame, then we cut to them at work: on the floor, with a tablet, reading an order ticket in the kitchen and plating jollof. It opens on 'Unyielding in strength, unbreakable in spirit' and closes with a thank-you to the women of Nest Lagos and its guests.
