The Brief
The Cliff Restaurant & Bar was getting ready to open. A room nobody has sat in yet has to build some appetite before the doors open, and people needed a reason to remember the name until then.
The Idea
We let the theatre of the bar carry the teaser. A blowtorch on a steak, a cocktail on fire in a stone-head mug, a smoke bubble resting on a glass, with the room only glimpsed, ending on one card: The Cliff, Coming Soon.
How We Made It
The teaser walks in through details: the carved white relief on the wall, gold lamps on green marble, napkins with the name on them. Then the showpieces get short reels of their own. The fire drink is one locked shot of flame and sparks; the smoke bubble is shot macro as it swells, bursts and spills over the rim. A brunch reel brings the slower moments: a fork breaking a yolk, tacos finished with avocado, syrup run over a pancake and its melting pat of butter.
