The Brief
KnoWhere is bright, teal and white, full of arches and plants, and its guests dress for the occasion. A venue like that is sold by its crowd as much as its kitchen, so the films had to show who is in the room as well as what is on the table.
The Idea
We started at the door. The first reel walks in past the yellow sign and the doorman into a room already full of guests, and the others pick up from there: the kitchen, the tables and the bar, all in the same light, airy look.
How We Made It
The arrival reel was shot among the guests, catching laughs, shots raised and a musician's hand on the strings. The food reels mix flame at the range, a tabletop grill flaring under copper pots and a waiter setting fish down on green marble beside blue glassware, joined by quick whip transitions. The drinks reel goes the other way: one locked frame on the bar while hands slide glasses in, lift them and swap them, with the lights blurred behind.
