The Brief
Ìkökö Restaurant & Bar is a room of brick, terracotta and pink plaster wrapped around a planted courtyard. The design is a big part of the draw, and the menu needed to feel like it belonged to the same place.
The Idea
The menu became the transition. A hand sweeps the red Ìkökö menu across the frame, and every time it passes, a new dish is waiting on the pink table.
How We Made It
The menu reel is one locked frame on a laid place setting, with each pass of the menu timed like turning a page: salad, a cast-iron pot, pasta, a flatbread. The second reel walks the venue: the brick façade and its sign, the courtyard through steel-framed windows, the dining room in red and pink, a pink drink poured from the blender into a row of flutes. It ends on a waiter in a cream jacket and red apron carrying a tray through the courtyard, then the logo on a terracotta square.
