The Brief
Healed Hustle is a course for leaders who are building something they believe in and burning out doing it. Its first episode had to hold a viewer with one man talking about hard things, from anxiety and sleepless nights to marriages under strain, and still feel like an honest conversation rather than a lecture.
The Idea
Shoot the teacher like an interview. One camera he talks straight into, and one that watches him from the side as if someone just asked him a question, so the episode can move between teaching and confiding.
How We Made It
We built a dark, warm set: slatted wood, a tall plant, an Edison lamp burning in frame, the Healed Hustle cover on the shelf and the workbook on the desk, lit low so his face and hands carry the picture. The edit moves between the front and side angles with quick whip transitions and lets the long thoughts breathe. Bold black letters slide across a yellow pattern into the title card, "Audit Your Ambition", and the episode ends on the same card for Episode 2, "Pause With Purpose", so the series has a frame. When he tells the story of his engine blowing up, illustrated cut-aways of a dashboard lighting up at night and a car stalled at the roadside carry the metaphor.
The Result
