- Campaign pitch deck
A tally-mark ledger concept for a national youth electoral participation competition.
The Brief
The ARCON colloquium asked students to pitch on youth, electoral participation and civic responsibility. The real problem is not that young Nigerians don't care. They are the loudest generation online and the least counted at the polls, and a campaign that lectures them gets scrolled past.
The Idea
Be Counted. We don't fight the habit of posting, we hijack it: every civic act, from registering to checking a claim to showing up, becomes a tally mark on one national counter that only goes up. Online you get seen. In a democracy you get counted.
How We Made It
We built the pitch as an argument that moves one slide at a time: insight, tension, big idea, mechanic, executions. Slab-serif headlines in white and a bright civic green on near-black, cream pages for the tension and the mechanic, and red saved for one line, "We vanish like spectators." Hand-drawn tally marks run through every slide, and the cover carries ghosted counter numbers climbing behind the title. The mechanic is four plain steps, register, verify, show up, watch it rise, and the deck ends on work people can picture: a 60-second hero film called "The Count" and the Zero Boards, billboards that start at zero and climb with the live tally.
